sean
there are many reasons to think sean is great - for me, i am most wowed by his enthusiasm and passion. i love when people have things they are passionate about, and want to share that with others. sean does that a million times over - pizza, baseball, improv, games. just some of the things we both enjoy. when i talk to sean about any of our shared interests, i am immediately more enthusiastic! i love that!
What are qualities that you think are important in a friend?
* Intelligence, sense of humor, and the trait that makes me know whenever or wherever (s)he may be, (s)he would never think to do something that may jeopardize the friendship.
What is your favorite thing (or things) about yourself?
* Diversity of interests. Whatever it is, I usually find a way to be interested in it.
Not only is this true, but you find a way to make everyone around you interested, as well!
Tell me about something you are good at.
* Working as a team. I love adding my energy and enthusiasm with others to strive toward common goals. I love sharing victory/success with someone else. Whether it's sports, improv, computer programming, or playing videogames, I'm a team player and I tend to do my part and(hopefully) then some.
What is something you wish you were good at?
* The game of love.
Is anyone good at the game of love? I don't think I know anyone (that isn't a character in a movie or tv show) that is. That what makes the game more tricky, but also more interesting, I think.
What was your first impression of me - and how has your impression of me changed?
* I thought that you were a cute sincere girl beaming with posititivity...very rare among improvisors. I have since discovered that you are not an improvisor.
My impression of myself is so different than others' impressions of me. I would not say that I'm a very positive person. I would say I'm an optimist, but not necessarily all that positive. Hmmm.
If you were trapped in a cell in a dungeon - what 3 people (alive or dead, famous or personal) would you want to be trapped with?
* I would like to be trapped with my brother, my mother, and MacGyver. Obviously I would not want my brother and mother to be "trapped" anywhere but they would make for good company until MacGyver, my childhood hero, got us out.
What do you think is in store for the Red Sox in 2006? Mostimportantly, will Johnny Damon still be on the team? And do you think Manny will get traded?
* Red Sox have an uphill battle in my opinion. Not just because they are losing your loverboy Damon. The sox need relief pitching (particularly a closer) and need to make Boston more attractive. Manny keeps asking to leave. Now everyone says that is "Manny being Manny" but is it? And even if it is, what if it's contagious? The last thing you need is the Sox all star lineup requesting trades. I think Damon and Manny are gone, btw.
I'm frightened.
I know you're a fan of games - what are your favorites?
* Baseball. I used to think I would be a professional baseball player. The one thing I lacked was a 90mph fastball (or even an 80mph fastball). I still wonder what my life would be like if I had one. As it was, I ended up not playing much...so I took up golf. I love golf. As much as I love team sports, nothing beats spending 4 hours outside on a golf course. Golf is one of the things I miss most since moving to the city. Other games that I am quite fond of (and play as often as possible) are darts, ping pong, bridge, poker, scattergories, Jeopardy!, bowling, volleyball, tennis, Unreal Tournament, and raquet ball. Notice all of these games are non-contact. I prefer precision, intelligence, and finesse over height and force.
That reminds me. I want to go bowling! Who's in?
If you had to give up one of the aspects of pizza month, which would it be? Would you rather eat pizza alone every day for a month or eat with a group every day for a month, but not have any pizza? Why?
* Eat with a group every day for a month. I love the company. I do love pizza though. Eating pizza with others is one of my favorite things. I suppose if I could give up one of the aspects of pizza month, I would give up the documenting process.
Where's your favorite place in New York?
* My favorite place in New York has to be the UCB Theatre. It was what brought me to New York and attracts the highest concentration of interesting people I have ever met. I even met you, Cat, indirectly through the UCB Theatre.
This is true! Thanks, UCB!
In the world? And why?
* My favorite place in the world is probably the West. I know that is vague but between the beautiful national parks(such as Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Canyon), the enormous Rocky Mountains, and the acres of untouched land,it's truly the most beautiful place I've ever been. Of course, my "favorite" place in the world means nothing if my favorite people aren't there.
