my reality
tonight could just be the most perfect night of television. as the only person in new york without a dvr, i am at the mercy of network executives for my tv viewing schedule. i refuse to tape shows, so i get excited when shows i really want to watch are on at times that i'm available to watch them.
right now, i'm watching Big Brother 6. this is among the worst of the reality tv shows on now, but i love it! these people are so bored - the big event in the first 15 minutes was 3 of the "houseguests" trying to convince a fourth to drop his swim trunks and streak in the backyard. this got a good 2 or 3 minutes of air time. and in the end, he doesn't streak. big surprise.
next up, the geniuses at the game show network have started rerunning Amazing Race. the show that is quickly becoming my favorite show ever. and they're airing the season i never watched. not only is Amazing race now in reruns, a different episode airs every day!
then, in 2 hours, Survivor on OLN. i'm not really sure what kind of channel OLN is. some sort of outdoorsy network, i guess. i can't imagine ever watching anything else they show, but now they air Survivor! i have loved this show since the first season. even after it jumped the shark, i continue to watch it. i love how devious some of the people are - in a way i just don't see on other shows. richard hatch, johnny fairplay, boston rob - these guys are amazing! and OLN plays it every day.
