yet another reason for people to think i'm crazy..

i have a bad memory. i'll see an improv show and immediately forget everything i saw. i'll know it was good, but i will have no memory of details. if someone reminds me, though, i often find scenes just as entertaining in my mind as they were on stage...

so i'm going to london for work. i went to get travelers checks today. i get them at AAA because there's no fee. so i went to the only AAA in Manhattan today, on the upper west side. totally inconvenient. and it's hot. i had been running errands for a while, and was tired and hungry. and melty. i finally get to the front of the line, and hand my AAA card to the receptionist. i watch as she fills out the required travelers check request form, and when she gets to the part where she fills in my membership number, i start giggling. i realize this might be disconcerting, so i try not to giggle out loud. and i watch her fill out the form, shaking as i try not to burst out laughing. i get a very odd look as she hands me my form and points me towards the window where i pick up my travelers checks..

how was she to know that as i watched her write down my membership number i suddenly remembered will hines at VU last night, as the guy who didn't kill those children... "i guess you are the only person i would recommend not getting a AAA membership"
