what's new with you?
so i've been quite the jetsetter recently. at the very end of september and beginning of october, i went to boston for a week. kevin and i scalped red sox tickets and had a great time watching one of the last games of the season. boston was everything i hoped it would be - the leaves were changing color, the weather was cool but sunny. i even went apple picking! it was a perfect new england week.
after a week of boston, i came back to new york for about 36 hours before heading off to london for work. i was in meetings for a week, and got sick the day after i arrived, so spent most of the time i wasn't working asleep in a rather dismal hotel room. i find living out of a suitcase pretty depressing, but it's worse when the hotel room is all beige with the furniture falling apart.
but i came back to the beginning of my favorite time of year in new york. i love the end of fall, when the city is getting ready for christmas. the skating rinks have opened at rockefeller center and central park. the city is starting to get a bit cooler, but it's not too cold yet. i'm ready to pull out my warm sweaters, start bundling up in scarves, and pulling out my knitting while i watch tv.
