guilty pleasures

you've got mail is on. that movie is such a love letter to new york. i know that's not really the point of the film, but every time it's on, i watch it and fall in love with new york all over again.

good timing, as i've been in a fight with new york this week. maybe astoria (and the rest of queens) will get power back today after all.

also, i put Anne of Green Gables on my amazon wish list. not the books, but the 3 dvd box set. i love those movies (never seen the third, which i hear is awful, but the other two). they are a perfect rainy sunday treat, and i miss them.
